About Caitlin

Caitlin Smith is the founder of Hillroots Consulting. With over a decade of experience in the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) movement, Caitlin brings deep expertise in strategic planning, nonprofit capacity building, and professional coaching.

Before launching Hillroots Consulting, Caitlin served as a Chapter Specialist at Western Regional Children’s Advocacy Center, where she led initiatives to strengthen state chapters of CACs through planning, partnership, and executive coaching. Her career began at the West Virginia Chapter, where she supported programmatic development, multidisciplinary team partnerships, and systems-level improvements for the response to child abuse.

Known for her warmhearted, strategic approach, Caitlin combines curiosity, clarity, and care to help organizations grow with intention. She holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame.
